FAQs
Launched in 2020, the CAO 100 is designed to recognize the highest-performing leaders of analytics functions inside global enterprises. The International Institute for Analytics (iianalytics.com) manages CAO 100.
No, there is no fee required to either be nominated or included in the CAO 100.
Our methodology, based around our inclusion criteria, can be broken down into two phases. The first phase is our “baseline inclusion criteria” which features certain hurdles that must be cleared for eligibility. These include but are not limited to: years working in the analytics field, years spent in an executive position, size of organization, etc. This is done to ensure nominees have the requisite experience and scope of function for consideration. The second phase is both quantitative and qualitative as we consider how well a nominee matches with what we believe are key functions of a successful analytics leader. This phase includes questions surrounding a leader’s adoption and implementation of data analytics practices, their role in achieving analytics maturity, and their role in analytics innovation and how that has translated into an identifiable impact on the broader organization.
Any information shared by potential nominees will remain confidential excluding content with given consent to be included in the final publication of the list. Private contact information (emails, phone numbers, etc.) will not be shared.
Nominations are currently being accepted on a rolling basis with a view to having our initial pool of nominees by August 21. However, we will still accept nominations for a short period beyond this date.
After completing the nomination form, prospective CAOs will be sent a comprehensive follow-up form to determine if they match our inclusion criteria. Final inclusion will then be determined by how well they mach our criteria relative to other nominees. Selected nominees will then be notified of their inclusion and details regarding the publication of the final list.
The final list will be published on an updated version of the cao-100.com website which is currently being developed.
